TabTrade Broker Review - What to Know Before You Sign Up
TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition when it arrives.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not make it safe. But factor into your assessment.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
